Day 3 and 4 of Balancing Cleanse
Well yesterday I ended the day in a deficit of calories and time. I ran out of time to post so I will combine them today.
I also ran in a deficit of calories. Its not a good idea to not get in all your calories for the day. Especially if you are working out and trying to build muscle. Your body will realize that it doesn’t have enough energy to get through the demand you are putting on it and it will start to pull from your muscles. You will then start to loose muscle mass and injury can happen. If you aren’t active one day of low calorie isn’t so bad as long as you really pay attention to what you are eating the next day. Don’t try and make up the calories you lost just stay with the plan especially if you are cleansing to loose weight. One of the biggest culprits in not succeeding in any cleanse is getting really hungry and over eating or snacking to try and make up those calories missed.
Today is crucial for me since I still have 3 more hours of dance and I already taught 1 yoga strong class. This is when meal planning for the rest of my day is important.
I have been talking about the 21 Day Fix meal plan. Beach body has these cool little containers that you measure out your food. There are other brands out there also. You can find them on Amazon. I found this picture on Amazon. I know it may look like you are going to be hungry but trust me maybe the first few days but then after that your body adjust and you realize how much we actually eat. We really don’t need all those calories to sustain.
By using a tool such as these visually we can see what we are actually eating. I recommend them if you are needing help controlling your food intake. Have fun listen to your body and enjoy exploring new way to make you healthier and happier.
